Recently, the HUBS and I had to attend a cocktail party for close relative's wedding.  I scoured the internet, trying to find a dress that was within my budget and wasn't a dreary dark color and would be a flattering style for my body type.  Nothing.  Finally, about two weeks before we had to leave for the event, I designed this little number.  I found this beautiful blush & gold jacquard fabric at a local fabric store.  As soon as I saw it, designs came flooding.  I knew I wanted an asymmetrical hem with a classy demure off shoulder neckline.  

oh and yes we did go take pics in a christmas tree farm.  best idea ever.  you know, because picking out your christmas tree is a formal affair :)
