MOTHER'S DAY
mothers are amazing, compassionate, constantly sacrificing selfless wonders. I could never thank my mom enough for all the amazing things she has done for me or all the amazing things she still does/will do for me. I mean as soon as I book a ticket to come home for a visit she immediately calls to ask what I want to eat for my stay AND take back home with me. I wish I could thank her for every time she checked in with me when I was clearly on the brink of tears - talking to her ALWAYS makes whatever mess I've created better. And she is single handedly the most important muse in my life. She has molded my sense of style, fashion, creativity and design. She gave me that gift. And to this day, she continues to sacrifice her own talents to kindle and nurture mine.
So how on earth do you recognize someone like that?? Or say thanks for the MILLIONS of things she's done for you??
In our house, my brothers and I (and by that I mean me lol) make mom brunch with all her favorite foods, and basically try to give her the day off. I'm not sure that we are entirely successful at the latter, but I do know that brunch has become a tradition. This year I wanted to make something for both my mom and my new mom (HUBS' mom) that they would love. In the process of brainstorming ideas, I came across some of these lovely ideas (click on the picks for direct links to the tutorials or gifts).
CRAFT MOM A GIFT
BUY MOM A GIFT

FOOD OR FLOWERS
FOR THE SENTIMENTAL MOM
FOR THE CHICEST MOMS
as for me, I decided to make the HUBS' mom a tote embroidered with "DADI" which means grandmother since we have a new little adorbs nephew in the family! For my mom, I decided to make some floral pressed trays for her jewelry and a vase!
